Epson Wins Two 2016 New Product of the Year Awards

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Feb. 1, 2017 – Epson, the number-one projector manufacturer in the world, and two of its products were recognized in the School Planning & Management and College Planning & Management 2016 New Product of the Year Awards. The Epson DC-21 document camera and the BrightLink® Pro All-in-One Interactive Display each won a Platinum-level award in the A/V Category from the magazines. The award programs honor the outstanding product development achievements of manufacturers and suppliers whose products or services are considered to be particularly noteworthy in their ability to enhance the learning environment.
An independent panel of judges from the industry selected 15 Platinum and 26 Gold winners this year. The winners were featured online and in the December 2016 issue of School Planning & Management and College Planning & Management magazines. To view the list of this year’s winners, click here.
The DC-21 document camera helps educators bring life to the classroom using multimedia objects such as books, pictures, 3D objects, and more. Its advanced features – HD 1080p resolution, large imaging sensor, 12x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom, microscope adapter, and audio and video recording capabilities – give teachers the flexibility to explore more during their lessons while providing students with high-quality images and audio.
The Epson BrightLink Pro All-in-One Interactive Display bundle brings together the best in projection, mount and screen technology to create a complete interactive display system large enough for everyone in a classroom to read. The bundle consists of a 100-inch Da-Lite IDEA screen and a BrightLink Pro 1430Wi interactive presentation display. The 100-inch diagonal image and the screen’s 2.5 gain create optimized readability and superior image quality. Using the presentation display’s interactive features, students and teachers can write on the display in real time, with no PC required. The Whiteboard Sharing Tool allows up to 15 participants to join a whiteboarding session directly from any mobile device with a web browser or from another BrightLink Pro – without using software or an app.
“Epson’s document camera and presentation display solutions are specifically designed to meet the needs of teachers and students,” said Jason Meyer, senior product manager, Projectors, Epson America, Inc. “Winning these two awards further underscores that Epson understands the vastly different A/V needs of the K-12 and higher education classrooms.”
