What is an MFP?
For years, we have been used to calling a copier a copier. Even though we still use the term “copier” in everyday conversation, most newer devices are actually MFPs, which stands for
Multi-Function Printer. Basically all that means is a device that performs at least two functions, such as copying, printing, scanning, or faxing. You can buy a separate printer, a fax machine, a flatbed scanner, and a copier, or you can buy an MFP that performs all of those tasks in one machine. A networked MFP can usually fulfill the needs of most small to medium-sized businesses.
